Okay once again I am sorry that I am awful at updating. All I can say is I am so glad we are half way done. Today started his 10th week. He is 28 pounds lighter and has a nice shiny bald head from shaving it. Supposedly this has become a trend with the guys and they are all jumping on board to join in. I hear that some of the wives were not happy but oh well less maintenance for them. Last week he thought someone took his shoes but someone found them laying out and did not want him to get in trouble for leaving them out, so they rolled them in a towel and put them in a empty looker. Well he still had to write a memo because he told his RTO that if he did not finish his towers for the week that is why. Friday I got an interesting call saying that he left his keys in his locker at the academy and that he could not get in the house or get his car from his carpool buddies house. Thankfully his brother had a key to our house so he was able to get in the house and then we went and picked up his car when I got off work. Julie, I think Dustin can relate to the forgetfulness. Dustin worked the entire weekend on putting his notes together and typed them all. He has 3- three inch binders full of notes. That is a lot of class time and a lot of note taking. Dustin comes home and tells me about his works and I just say thank you I am not doing that because I am not sure I would last long. In I think two weeks from Friday Dustin will be maced. I just hope that goes as well as it can. I try to be the loving, helpful, and supportive wife but at times I get tired of everything revolving around him and everything being consumed with the academy. I have my own countdown until this hold on our lives is down. I am happy that he found something he enjoys but I will be glad when the academy is over!!! For me work is going good. I hope to move into management within the next month or two. Ginger is big and is need of her completed backyard before it gets hot. I think this weekend we are going to work on creating a patio type area with pavers.
This last weekend we were celebrated Cleo and Julie's birthday. We had a really nice evening with them. Noah (my nephew) was recovering from being sick and I was amazed at how much energy he had for being sick. I know when I am sick I am a zombie and just want to lay around. I could not believe he was running and playing and laughing. He was active and way to happy for being sick. I wish I had that kid of strength.

12 Weekends Left

Were do I start. First of thank you so much for all the prayers. Dustin has finally recovered and got cleared by the doctor yesterday to be able to full on activities. Dustin had a busy week. He was dressing in his uniform all week. But he did tell me that he is going to try and not let me see him in his uniform till graduation. We will see if that happens. He is finally back to his normal self. He is now a more pleasant to be around. He has been grouchy and moody all week. I am not sure if there are any good stories to tell if so then I will have Dustin share them. But once again thank you so much for all your prayers and support with Dustin's injury we appreciate it greatly.
Oh and that is Aunt Joanne on the left. We had the privilege of being able to see them a lot this last month but they returned home. We will miss them.

Injured :(
Yep you prolly guessed who is injured. Dustin hurt his leg yesterday and is now on the injured reserve list. Supposively there are a couple of them hurt. Well he wont be alone with the crutches because there is someone else on crutches. It happened when Dustin was dragging a dummy while running backwards in there obstacle course yesterday. While he was doing this he tripped and fell on his leg while the 160lb dummy fell on his leg as well. So needless to say Dustin had to go to Occupational Health again and see what was wrong because he was in so much pain. The diagnosis is that he bruised his leg and is on crutches. He had to sit out from the physical part today. He is suppose to be off it all weekend and elevate it every 45 min and also ice it every 20 min. I think that is what Dustin told me. He goes back to the doctor on Monday to see if she will release him but she did say if he does everything she says then she will be able too. She also ask him if he had a wife and he said, "YES" and then she replied well she is your slave all weekend because you cannot be on your leg. I was like yeah i will help you but I am not your slave!!! I woke up this morning at 4:45am to hobbling around the house and then he was trying to find ibuprofen to take. I told him he can catch up on his notes and studying this weekend since he will be laid up with not being able to put pressure on his foot. I will try to slyly take a picture of him... but he might not let me. Okay well lets just hope he is better soon because he is not the greatest patient to take care of!!! Oh on a good not Dustin has been doing well on his tests and is passing. Yesterday he brought home yet another bag of goodies, one more thing for him to take in to the academy. He got issued his walkie talkie yesterday and something else. His belt is starting to look more like normal because it is not so empty anymore. I will try to post another update about him later. Have a great weekend.

Ginger

I have not posted about ginger for a while so I thought I would write a little something about her. A couple of weeks ago Dustin would not get out of bed and would not wake up. Every time he does not get out of bed and needs to because we have to be somewhere, I send Ginger in. This time she jumped partial way on the bed and then kept sniffing at her face. So I put her on the bed and let her lay there. Of course you can't sleep because she moves to much. Side note... I only let her on the bed when I am washing the sheets the same day!!! Normally she is never allowed up on the bed but every now and then I let her and it is onle for a short period of time because she becomes restless. As you can see by this picture she has taken over the bed.
14 Weekends Left
Sorry I have not updated for a while. Things have been busy in your house for the last couple of weeks. Dustin's aunt and uncle are in town and we have spent some quality time with them. We have been celebrating birthday's and don't forgot the annual Christmas in February with the Nelson's (my side of family tradition). Dustin has been studying lots but also trying to keep up with the weeds around the yard. Dustin had his normal tests today and he is passing everything. He is doing amazing with his work outs. He tells me what he does that day and I am amazed he survived because I sure wouldn't. He had Cory, Doug and Erin do this ab workout (I think) on Saturday and they said it was very difficult. We found out graduation is June 13th. Also we count down by weekends because it seems shorter than it really is. Last week a recruit was asked to resign. So they have lost 6 people so far. Hopefully they will not loose anymore. Dustin starting fighting a couple of weeks ago in there classes and he has not come home with any injuries so thank goodness for that. Cory keeps telling Dustin he will help Dustin practice fighting if he needs too. His ankle is better he did not have any problems aside from the day it happened. He made 3 trips to occupational health for that ankle he was not so thrilled about that. Here is an recent Picture of Dustin. I think Cory took this picture a couple of weeks ago. Not really sure why he looks so confused in this picture.
