Dustin's Bday & Tempe Boat Parade

Of course his brother got him a silly cop card. Happy Birthday! Me and baby Caleb he is so adorable I love that he loves to snuggle!
Uncle Doug and Dustin thought it was necessary for Noah to have this lighted thing. We all thought he was going to hit us. Look how focused he is on it!
This will be the uncle that teaches him naughty things... Sorry Julie!

Yesterday we celebrated Dustin's 24th birthday with his family we ate Vito's pizza and then headed down to Tempe Town Lake to watch the APS lighted boat parade. It was really cool. We were all more excited to see Noah's face and all his expressions. He kept saying he wanted to ride.... Julie is better at Noah spelling and interpreting! Well we are on a week long of celebrating Dustin's birthday. We are celebrating with my family and hopefully I will post pictures tomorrow. Dustin's birthday is technically not till Thursday.

Turkey Pot Pie

Tonight I tried a new recipe since we had a ton of turkey left over. My mom used to make pot pies with chicken or turkey left overs so that is what I did. I was looking for a easy recipe since I did not want to roll out the dough. I found it on Kraft foods site it is super easy and very yummy. I substituted turkey for the chicken. Unfortunately my pictures of food do not turn out like my amazing sister in law so hopefully you get the picture that is looks yummy!

Dustin and I went to zoo lights with my sister and her boyfriend on Friday. It was crowded but we definitely had a good time with them. Lisa would not let me take a picture of her and Brandon... lame! Oh and by the way isn't my studly cop so handsome.... I love you!!!

Favorite Ornament

I thought I would share this with everyone. Even though we have tons of memory's of my dad I decided that I wanted a ornament for our tree. I told my mom and she said she wanted to do that for my sister and I. Sorry it is kind of a bad picture. So here is what she came up with. I absolutely love it and was exactly what I wanted. For those that cannot read the writing in the heart it says, "Even though we are apart, we will keep you forever in our heart." Which is so true. Then my mom had something engraved on the bottom that says, "Love You Dad, Romans 8:38-39." I will be honest and Thanksgiving was difficult and sad. Part of the reason I did not go see Dustin's family. I love them all dearly it was just a very difficult day to not see my dad sitting at the dinner table with us. I am trying to be festive for the holidays but I will be honest it saddens me to think he will not be there for Christmas. Which during the holidays it was difficult for him. So... not to be a downer but this is my little piece of my dad to go on the tree. I have to say it is my favorite ornament of all that I have now and I will cherish it forever!

Christmas Decorating

I originally told Dustin that I was not going to decorate this year for Christmas. We dont have people over to the house because our house is so small and we mostly are at other peoples. But because of everything this year he told me I should. I said okay and decided to be festive. We got a live Christmas tree which makes our house smell amazing. I got new stockings this year for us and the dogs.... but can eventually used for kids if we ever decide to have kids. I have enjoyed decorating I have decide to add one new thing every year I got stockings and a table runner. Our tree was rather bare this year so I got some more ornaments that pop and also a bow for the tree! I also love pully out my nativity set every year. Erin these pictures are for you see you requested them. I will try to post pictures of the outside... Dustin is going for the most festive on the street and he has succeeded since no one on the street is decorated. He also wants to adopt the add a new decoration each year. So we shall see on that one.

Girls Night

Last night some of the girls got together to hang out, have dinner, and do some crafts. It was a lot of fun and great to hang out with them. For some reason Aunt Trudy is not in any of these! But thank you Aunt Trudy for taking the pictures since I was to lazy to get my camera out!
